Tinting Stock Turn Signals And Adding LEDs

Looking at my new LED brake light made me wanna change up the rear signals a little as well. I decided to tint them and put in LED replacement bulbs to make up for the tinted lenses a little. I've had the bulbs around for a year or more and used them for a little while in my other scoot, so I forget what brand and where I got them etc... I think they're 1057's. You may need a new turn signal relay to use LED blinkers on some scoots.

I masked the outside of the lenses and sprayed the inside with Nite Shades. Painting the inside usually makes it easier to get a glossy finish. I used two coats to be sure everything was covered well. The more coats, the darker the tint.

The bulbs/lenses are about as bright as the stock setup, but look better IMO. Apparently the lenses have a low spot, you can see where more paint settled in one area.

I should note that tinted lenses are illegal in many areas and obviously they may reduce visibility depending how dark you go.
